For those students and parent sponsors who were bold enough to remember the Generation Joshua Clubs in Ohio, the memories were enjoyable. Most of all, the greatest activity of the whole club experience was to participate in a Student Action Team (SAT). Several students in the Mount Vernon, Tuscarawas County and Stark County areas experienced SAT's and had a blast!
Wanted: Student Coordinators! We are looking for students with the ability to be articulate and lead. If you believe you qualify, please fill out the feedback form at the bottom of this page. We may have a slot for you this summer!
Even though Gen J is not as big as it used to be in Ohio, Ohioans for Educational Freedom intends to pick up where Gen J left off with youth clubs of our own. In fact, if you take a look at what was done through a former Gen J Club in Stark County, we're sure you will want what's coming! As soon as August 2010, we will have opportunities for the Student Divisions (SD), a component of our Citizen Action Deployments (CAD). The student culture will create the necessary synergy for a complete deployment of "ground war" tools, able and willing to campaign for the right candidates (and of course, have a lot of fun doing it).
In America today, battles are being waged over many issues—from judicial activism to attacks on traditional marriage to the moral disintegration of our society. In the midst of the battles, we can lose sight of where our nation has come from, and these pressing concerns could crush our hope for America’s future.
The Student Divisions of our Citizen Action Deployments are designed for Christian youth between the ages of 11 and 19 who want to become a force in the civic and political arenas. Our goal is to ignite a vision in young people to help America return to her Judeo-Christian foundations. We provide students with hands-on opportunities to implement that vision.
Voter Registration
OEF's Citizen Action Boot Camps will train the newest generation of young people to be effective leaders today in order to change governmental policies tomorrow. Encouraging people of faith to vote is an important part of that goal. In 2004, the number of Christian voters increased dramatically, and the results could be seen across the nation as more men and women of faith were elected into office. But there is still more to do. Just a small increase in Christian voters could make a big difference in the outcome of any election. Ohioans for Educational Freedom encourages its members to register new voters, especially Christian voters, because voting is a vital part of every Christian’s civic responsibility. Christians have a duty to rebuild the walls of American politics that were originally constructed on the foundation of biblical values and self-government.
Look to the right at what a former Gen J Club did and then you will get an idea of what we have in mind!

Civics Courses
"Where there is no vision, the people perish," warns Proverbs 29:18. Yet when people gain a vision for accomplishing something great, there is no telling what they can do.
To give young people a vision for taking America back to its Judeo-Christian foundations, OEF's plan is to work with Gen J to train in youth civics . Teens will not only learn how government works, they will also learn how it should work if the original intent of the Constitution is followed.
Find out what the Founding Fathers really said about the Supreme Court’s role in the balance of powers. Examine precedent-setting cases in the light of the Constitution. Learn how grassroots involvement is key to a successful campaign. Briefings may include:
- Founding Fathers
- Intro to Constitutional Law
- Campaign School
- Declaration of Independence
- Revolutionary War Era Sermons
- Federalist Papers
- GenJ Book Club
The intention is to have each self-paced, self-guided session to include readings and an automated quiz, making it easy for students to take the course on their own.*
* Parents of home schooled students may assign credits and grades for government and civics units.
